CH.1It was a warm spring evening on the coast of the Californian islands. The population of Topaz had gathered around the 40 foot screen in the town center, all 26,482 of them. The bright orange sun hung low, making everyone shades of brown and black. It was in this dusk that David Ellen met Sharon Vice, met much as saw.
